I was still waiting to find out information about the muthafucka who robbed my trap house, but I still hadn’t found out anything yet. We boosted security at the other houses and put the word on the street that if anyone knew anything, they needed to let me know asap. I also wanted to know if they saw anyone trying to get rid of large amounts of coke. My shipment was coming in today and I hoped that my African buyer would come through with my cash, so I could chill over the weekend with Peyton.

The next day, I took my car and dropped it off to get that scratch taken out and repainted. The estimate was five grands, and it was only because I knew the dude. Shit, a paint job on a Beemer wasn’t cheap and then I would get it back today, so the money wasn’t shit. That bitch was lucky I had money because if I didn’t, I would have been squeezing blood from that fuckin’ turnip.

As soon as I jumped in DeShawn’s truck, so he could take me to the shop, my phone rang. I checked the caller ID and saw that it was Abel, so I picked up right away.

“Waddup,” I answered.

“Cobra, I am ready with yo money when you have my products,” Abel said in his thick African accent.

“I’m on my way to the shop now and the shipment should be arriving soon,” I said.

“Alright man just let me know because I have people waiting for this,” he said.

“Yea man just let me get to the spot and I will hit you up.”

I arrived at the shop at the same time my delivery was being unloaded. I walked in the shop and Slick looked at me with a puzzled expression.

“What the hell is all this shit?” he asked.

“Nunya,” I answered.

Slick went back to cleaning up his station as I went to the back office to make sure everything was there. I checked all the boxes and signed in the box on the small device that the delivery driver handed me. Once I made sure all was good with my shipment, I contacted Abel, who said he was on his way.

I noticed DeShawn was in a heated conversation and went to check out what was going on with him.

“Aye, you alright?” I asked.

“I was just talking to Dre, who has a lil info on the issue on MLK. He said that Connie noticed a female kicking it with Floyd before he took her in the house. Connie described her as a short, lean blonde- haired chick with tight fitting clothes,” Dre said.

“Man, now that’s fucked up! These niggas know better than to let their guards down, especially not for no damn pussy! No wonder they slashed his fuckin’ throat, shit!” I said as I banged my fist on the wall.

“I know how you feel, man. We drilled that shit in their heads from day one. How the fuck that shit happen is beyond me!” Dre said.
